Link is the hero of the land of Hyrule and the protagonist of the Legend of Zelda series by Nintendo. One of the earliest characters in the Nintendo line-up, the series continues to remain one of the companies premier video game series.
Unlike most characters, there have been multiple incarnations of Link spread across the multiple timelines the games have been set in. All of them generally share the same basic traits of being adept swordsmen, inventive, somewhat quiet and possessing great courage, rising when they are destined in order to fight a great evil.
History[]
Link was introduced to the world in The Legend of Zelda for the NES, where he worked to defeated the tyrannical Ganon and save Zelda from his clutches. He would return in Zelda II to retrieve the Triforce of Courage and defeat his own shadow.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past began the tradition of multiple incarnations of Link and Zelda, scattered throughout the multiple timelines of the Hyrule kingdom.
After a role on the Game Boy and a few adventures on the Phillips-CDi, Link's biggest adventure yet would The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which propelled the series into full 3-D and set the standard for his adventures from then on.
Aside from the standard teenage version of Link, other versions of the character having including him as a young child such as in his first appearance. The most common variation of such is known as Toon Link who appeared in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and would go on to appear in games also set within that timeline.
Appearances for Link outside of games include a comic book and a short-lived TV series.

Link appears midway through Chapter 1-2 alongside Yuri Lowell to help the party in Blackwood Forest. He joins the party at the inn in the Merchant's Settlement.

Link is an optional party member. When exploring the Blissing Woods in the Da'fur Region, the player may find a fairy on the far left side of the poisoned area. If the player gives the fairy an Elixir, she thanks them and flies off. If this is done, Link can be found in Chapter 7 near the area where the Shadow Wind was fought. Should Cain Argol have been recruited beforehand, he'll reveal that he and Link used to be adventuring buddies back in the day. Talking to Link will have him join the party.
Link is a Mighty Glacier type, focusing on strong sword attacks and buffing himself.
